About The Iron Foundation

Our Story

The Iron Foundation was born from a phone call no parent should have to make. A mother, in tears, telling us she had to pull her daughter from Iron Maidens Fastpitch—a travel ball team we operate separately—not because her daughter didn't love the game, but because the family couldn't afford the fees.

In that moment, my husband Chris and I looked at each other and just knew: this child will play. No questions asked. She will have a home on the team.

That feeling became our mission. How many other kids are being told "we can't afford for you to play"? How many talented, eager athletes are sitting on the sidelines because of their parents' bank account? We refuse to let financial barriers break the hearts and spirits of children who deserve to compete, grow, and thrive.

Sports aren't just about physical health—they build mental and emotional strength, teach teamwork, structure, and drive. These are life skills every child deserves access to. So we're taking a stand: Let the kids play.

We're building scholarships, training facilities, mentorship, and community support—so no child is ever turned away. This is just the beginning.
